Cal Buddy
A Hebrew-language AI calorie tracker for iPhone, built for the Israeli market.
What it is
Former marketer Tomer built a local-language take on a big calorie-tracking app and grew it largely through revenue-share deals with Israeli influencers.
How it was built with AI
Tomer, who says he is not a developer, told Starter Story he started the app as an experiment with Cursor, which had just been released, and had a working version two weeks later; he now uses Claude for coding and AI agents across the business.
