Laper is a screenwriting tool from Chinese writer and entrepreneur Zhao Chunxiang, sold by subscription from Hong Kong. It grew to tens of thousands of dollars a month within a year of its founding.
How it was built with AI
Zhao wrote on the day of the December 2025 beta that all of Laper's code, about 119,000 lines then, was written by Claude Code with none typed by hand; Shipped & Paid quotes a June 2026 article in which he says Claude Code and Codex do 100% of it.
