What it is

Vectal keeps tasks, projects, notes and habits in one place, with chat models and AI agents working next to them; Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents can read and update a workspace through its API, CLI or Agent Skill. YouTuber David Ondrej started it in October 2024 and announced in December 2025 that he had sold it to the open-source project Agent Zero for $1.8 million.

How it was built with AI

In a June 2025 video on his 'ultimate vibe coding setup' (Cursor as the main IDE, Claude Code inside it, Codex for parallel tasks, o3 pro for hard bugs), David Ondrej says 'I'll be using all of these tools to build my AI startup' Vectal and shows Codex working through Vectal's backlog.
